Just as your child’s brain has developmental stages, so too does their eye development. Regular eye exams are important to ensuring that your child’s eyes are developing properly. School eye exams only catch major issues. A proper exam will look for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

Call or stop by to set up an appointment with one of our optometrists. It is recommended that children have their eyes checked by a professional before the age of one, as well as before starting school. Early eye exams are a great way to find and treat vision issues that could compromise your child’s ability to learn in the future.

INFANTSEE: A PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAM

InfantSEE®, developed in 2005, by the American Optometric Association and Johnson & Johnson Vision, is a public health program designed to ensure that eye and vision care become an integral part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Associates in Eyecare feels so strongly about the importance of eye health that we’ve partnered with Infantsee to provide a no cost comprehensive infant eye and vision assessment to any baby six months to their first birthday regardless of income or insurance coverage.
