DR. CLAYTON
Optometrist - Owner
Dr. Clayton joined Associates in Eyecare in July of 2013 and purchased the practice in 2020. He received a Bachelor of Biology degree from Dickinson State University where he graduated summa cum laude in 2008. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2013. Dr. Clayton enjoys providing a full spectrum of clinical care for all ages and needs, as well as fitting standard and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Clayton grew up in North Dakota but enjoys his new home in Brainerd. He loves spending time with his wife Breena, who is also an optometrist, and their three boys. As the owner of the practice, Dr. Clayton strives to continue to grow the practice and provide the best quality eye care in the Lakes Area
DR. PELOWSKI
Optometrist
Dr. Pelowski began working at Associates in Eyecare in 1998 and later became a partner with Dr. Marvin in 2006. He graduated from Bemidji State University in 1994 and received his Doctorate of Optometry from THE Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr. Pelowski works to provide comprehensive eye care for all his patients and is well versed in contact lenses, disease management, and pediatric optometry.
Dr. Pelowski grew up in Roseau MN and is an avid hockey fan and also loves to play golf. He and his wife Jennie have three adult daughters.
DR. MALCHOW
Optometrist
Dr. Malchow is our most recent addition to Associates in Eyecare, joining the practice in 2022. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of NorthDakota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication. She earned her Doctor of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2011, and later completed a Primary Care and Ocular Disease residency in 2012 from the Illinois College of Optometry and Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago. Dr. Malchow enjoys building relationships with her patients and comes to our office with a wealth of knowledge in disease treatment and management including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetes. She also is well versed in contact lens fittings and dry eye management.
Originally from Jamestown North Dakota, Dr. Malchow settled in Baxter in 2015 after moving from Chicago. She has three children with her husband, Dr. Dave Malchow, who is an optometrist working at the Brainerd VA clinic.
DR. MARVIN
Optometrist - Retired
Dr. Marvin founded Associates in Eyecare in the early 90’s. He graduated magna cum laude from UMD in 1974 and later graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon in 1982. Following his graduation, Dr. Marvin moved back to the Brainerd area and started practicing shortly thereafter.
